Vonda Roth Obituary

Vonda Jolaine Roth passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the age of 83.  Jolaine was born on March 21, 1939 in Rawlings, Wyoming to parents, Kenneth and Elaine (Richards) Archer.  She was blessed to grow up with her older sister Karen.  She and her family moved to Colorado where she met James Roth who would become her husband on September 24, 1960.  Jolaine had a successful career as an administrative assistant for Colorado healthcare systems.  She enjoyed her work and finally retired from the position she loved in November 2021.

Jolaine is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Elaine Archer, and her husband James Roth.  She is survived by her sister Karen Casterline, her children, Julie Roth, Kelly (Jeffrey) Harrington, Jimmy (Denise) Roth, John (Sarah) Roth, Jeffrey (Georgina) Roth, and Karen (Travis) Jackson.  She is also survived by her grand-children, Michael Coberly, Brooke Mackie, Ashley (Joseph V) Morales, Ryan (Sara) Roth, Amanda (Joshua) Borchers, Curtis (Taylor) Roth, Jessica (Kristopher) Scott, Corey Roth, Matthew Jackson, Patrick Harrington, Noah Roth, and her great-grandchildren, Caiden Mackie, Carter Mackie, Joseph Morales VI, Hannah Borchers, Luke Morales, Benjamin Borchers, Weston Morales and numerous nieces and nephews as well as other special family and friends.

Of all of her accomplishments, Jolaine was most proud of her family and loved spending time with them.   During her marriage she joined her husband in his Catholic faith and shared his passion for Christ.  In her life, she enjoyed many hobbies including golf, weekly bowling on a league with friends and family, playing poker at family get togethers, trips to Central City to play slots, playing Bridge or any type of board game, working on jigsaw puzzles, and reading.  She loved to travel, especially visiting major league ballparks to watch the Rockies play, RV’ing with her husband Jim and was a faithful Broncos fan for many years.  Jolaine was highly competitive with her family when Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy was on the television, trying to be the first to guess the puzzle or the question to the answer.

We will be celebrating Jolaine’s life, well-lived, with a Recitation of the Rosary at 10:00am, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Northglenn, Colorado.  Committal of Cremated Remains to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave, Boulder, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jolaine’s name to the American Heart Association. Denver | American Heart Association
