Vivian J. Patrick

Vivian Patrick, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away July 9, 2022 at St Anthony North Hospital with her family beside her. She just began her fight with cancer when it suddenly and unexpectedly shortened her life of 64 years.

Vivian was the fifth child of nine born to Sevedeo Romero and Erminia Haynes on November 13, 1957 in Gunnison, Colorado. She is survived by her eight siblings: Rose Mills, Sebedeo Romero, Mike Romero, Sorovel Romero, Claudine Martinez, Mary Romero, Linda Bondurant, and Nancy Jones and many nieces and nephews.

Vivian was just about to celebrate 42 years of marriage this August with her husband Darrell Patrick. Together they raised two daughters, Jaimmie Adler and Jennifer Fernandez. Jaimmie and her husband Ben are parents to Vivian’s granddaughters Olivia (9) and Natalie (6). Jennifer and her husband Jeremy are parents to Vivian’s granddaughter Madison (8) and grandson Mason (3).

Vivian created serene drawings and paintings of scenic images that caught her eye from adventures that she shared with her family. She loved showcasing her artwork at local art galleries and inspired the little ones in her family as she mentored them on art techniques. She created charming greeting cards with her artwork and complimented them with enthused poems. She cherished her time with her husband taking nature walks, going fishing, feeding birds, and working through puzzles. She loved caring for her mother, Erminia, and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Vivian had a beautiful soul that was treasured by so many and we loved her beyond words. She may no longer be by our side but she will be forever in our hearts. A memorial service and reception will be held at 11:00 AM, August 13, 2022 at The Crossing Church located at 3501 W 104th Ave, Westminster, CO 80031.
