Virginia Catherine Cassady

Virginia Catherine Cassady, known affectionately as Cathy, passed away peacefully on June 22,
2023, in Colorado. Born on August 11, 1943, in Missouri, Cathy's vibrant spirit and kind soul left a
lasting impression on everyone she met.
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Pete. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie
Cassady and Danene (Manuel) Balderas, her grandchildren Jason (Kami), Grant (Samantha),
Tyler (Nikki), Brandon (Emma), Britney (Bryan), and Tiffini (Colton), and her great-grandchildren
Levi, Kiley, and Mac Gorman, Harmony, Max, Athena and Oliver Schafer. Her family was the
cornerstone of her life, and she loved them all deeply.
In her earlier years Cathy was a Road Captain for Freedom Harley Davidson alongside her
husband, Pete. She was passionate about preparing for the rides, always ensuring to match
from head to toe in her Harley gear. Her keen sense of style extended to her everyday life,
with her outfits perfectly coordinated.
Cathy had an exceptional talent for creating Halloween Costumes. She had a deep love for
Mexican and Italian cuisines, with Olive Garden and Bubba Chinos being her favorite
restaurants. She also had a fondness for Hallmark movies, and her all-time favorite film was the
romantic classic, "Pretty Woman." Cathy's love for her family was profound, and she cherished
every moment spent with them.
Cathy was a gentle soul who always had time to listen and never passed judgment. Her loving
nature and kindness were her defining qualities, and they will be remembered by all who knew
her.
In remembering Cathy, we celebrate a life well-lived. Her love for her family, her passion for life,
her kindness, and her gentleness will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the
privilege of knowing her. Cathy was a testament to the power of love and kindness, and her
legacy will continue to inspire those she has left behind. Cathy's final resting place will be with Pete at Fort Logan
