After fighting for her life, Tisha Lynn Dojcsak, 48, of Denver Colorado, died on November 27, 2023, at uchealth while her mom held and watched over her. Although her body wasn’t up to this battle, her heart and soul continued to hang onto her life. Birth is precious, and life is precious, but so is the kind of energy and spirit she expressed through her short journey on earth. Her actions, strengths, and vigor become, perhaps, the greatest of lessons for us all.
Tisha was a loving, kind, funny, and lively person. She had a warmth and aura that enveloped anyone she was around; a smile that could turn anyone’s mood for the better; and a hug that made everyone she touched feel like they were part of her family. She was fiercely protective of her younger brother, Pash, and sister, Cassie, always finding a way to make them feel special, loved, and tuned into enjoying life to its fullest. She will forever be missed by her mom (Jo), stepdad (Smooth), husband (Joe), siblings (Pash and Cassie), and niece and nephew (Ada and Quinn) as well as her extended family and countless friends.
At the same time, Tisha's special qualities and energy will continue to live among us all, and, as it was for her, that liveliness may show up for us in the most unexpected ways—perhaps in a shooting star, a stunning sunrise or sunset, or the knowing eyes of a stray animal.
Tish was born on June 1, 1975, in Peru, Illinois, arriving with impish dimples and a full head of red hair, ready to take on the world. Tish loved her husband, Joe, with every beat of her heart. She shared the same steadfast love with her cats, friends, and family, always demanding big smooches on the lips to show how deeply she cared. She was passionate about everyone she loved and instilled the same affection from those who were lucky enough to have her in their lives.
After graduating from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing, she packed her car and courageously set out for California without a job or place to live. Knowing she couldn’t be deterred and would ultimately be successful, her family waved farewell and vicariously enjoyed her new adventures. One of those adventures led into a career as a senior account manager within the trade show industry. For the past two years she enjoyed her work at PG Exhibits + Environments in Aurora and often brought in treats for the pups on the premises. Another adventure came about when she met her future husband, Joe, who shared in her passions and remained devoted to her for the past two decades.
Tisha, the world will be a bit emptier without your infectious laughter and your incredible kindness. We all feel so blessed to have called you our friend and part of our family, and we are forever grateful for the precious time we spent together.
Tisha’s obsession for rescued animals (especially cats) was another huge part of her personality. To pay tribute to Tisha and the flames she lit, the family and friends suggest donating to her favorite Denver cat rescue organization, ANGELS WITH PAWS, instead of flowers. Tisha and her three recues “Chobi, Neko, and Mimi” would thank you if they could.
