On December 2, 2022, Dora (Padilla) Duffy of Westminster, Colorado peacefully passed into God’s embrace. Dora succumbed to an extended illness at the age of 79.
Dora grew up in Salida, Colorado. A town that she loved, and in her heart, never left. She had so many fond memories of her hometown, and she was proud to tell anyone she met where she’d grown up.
She had different jobs over the course of her life, from working in retail, to owning her own nail shop, but none that she was more proud of than being a Casino Hostess in Central City and Blackhawk. Which suited her perfectly as she never met a stranger.
Dora also had the gift of creativity. She loved to crochet, knit, and needlepoint. As well as creating wreathes and other Christmas inspired décor pieces.
Dora is survived by her daughter, Coreen, and son, Lenny; her grandchildren, Randy, Aaron, Katielee and Kristina, and great-grandchildren, Urijah, Grason, Jackson and Stanley. Also, by brothers Joe, Herman (Millie), John; sisters Sadie, Elaine and Juanita. Dora is dearly missed and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile.
She is reunited with her father and mother, Abel and Margaret Padilla, and brothers, Abel and Leonard Padilla.
Some of Dora’s most treasured memories were family gatherings, and in the spirit of what she loved the most, her family will be holding a Celebration of Life, as opposed to a traditional funeral. Please join all of Dora’s loved ones in celebrating her beautiful life on February 18, 2023, at 1 pm. Swiss Cottage Gatherings and Events - 9840 W. 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
For food/reception purposes the family would like to request an RSVP by February 4, 2023.
Mathew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
