Steven Senecal Obituary

Steven Andrew Senecal (Duck) of Lakewood, Colorado (formerly of Northborough Massachusetts) passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 12th 2022 after bravely fighting cancer. Duck was preceeded in death by his mother Paula Senecal, his father Robert Senecal, and an infant sister Mary Theresa.

Duck is survived by his loving wife, Lori Senecal, his son Christopher Senecal of Commerce City, CO, his sister Susan Senecal of Stonington, Maine, his brothers: Robert Senecal II and wife Gail of Deer Isle, ME, Timothy Senecal and wife Kathleen, of Barre, MA, Michael Senecal of Deer Isle, ME. Duck is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and Great nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own children.

Duck was born Worcester, MA but grew up in Northborough MA. Duck went to high school at St. John’s in Shrewsbury, MA and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 1986 where he enjoyed playing hockey and football. After high school Duck moved back to Worcester but his favorite place to be was in Deer Isle, Maine at his family’s home. This is the place where he was introduced to the love of his life, Lori. Duck moved to Colorado in 2012 where he and Lori lived for ten wonderful years. This was their base camp for many adventures and travels with their beloved Shiba Inu named Kymani. Duck never met a stranger, but rather, everyone was just a friend he hadn’t met yet. Duck was surrounded by an amazing circle of friends with whom he enjoyed playing golf, watching the Patriots games, and having drinks at his favorite bar, Piflers. Duck was the kind of person that would do anything for his family and friends and he will be missed beyond words.

Services for Duck will be held St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church in Deer Isle, Maine on 7/23/22 at 11am and a celebration of life at 25 Oak Point Rd. in Deer Isle, Maine at 3pm.

A celebration of life will also be held in Denver, Colorado for his many local friends and family at So Many Roads Museum and Brewery on 8/6/22 from 12-5 PM.
