Shelley Rae Wright, a beacon of kindness and warmth whose spirited nature brightened the lives of many, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in Denver, Colorado. Born on July 2, 1973, in San Diego, California, she was the beloved daughter of Robert (Bob) Stansberry and Arlyce Jean Gallus Stansberry. Shelley's life was marked by her deep love for family, her passion for music, and her unwavering devotion to her work and friends.

Shelley’s early years in San Diego were filled with California sunshine, beach days, palm trees, and time spent on the green golf course where she was raised with the loving guidance of her father Bob and stepmother Doris Stansberry. She was a cherished sister to Susan, Michael Stansberry, Mary, and Michael Aughenbaugh. Her blended family provided a strong foundation of love and support that she carried with her throughout her life.

A proud graduate of Ramona High School, Shelley continued her education in the Health Occupations program at Clearfield Job Corps in Utah, demonstrating early on her passion for service and caring for others. She devoted 25 years to the grocery retail industry, where her strong work ethic and determined spirit left a lasting impression. Colleagues and customers alike will remember her infectious smile, her ability to make everyone feel like a friend, and her profound dedication and hard work.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Shelley's zest for life was evident in her love of music and concerts, her enthusiasm for football, and her appreciation of good food. She was happiest surrounded by friends and family, sharing laughter and creating memories. Her daughter Alex, son in law Alexander, grandson Austin, father Bob and stepmother Doris and her siblings will carry forward her legacy of joy and companionship and will continue to make her proud.
As we bid farewell to Shelley Rae Wright, we celebrate a life lived with an open heart and a generous spirit. Her story is one of enduring love, unwavering friendship, and the power of a kind soul to make the world a brighter place. Shelley's memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us to embrace life with the same passion and vivacity she embodied every day.

A celebration of life will be held at The Den at Fox Hollow,13410 Morrison Rd, Lakewood, CO 80228 on March 1st 2026 at 2pm. In true Shelley fashion we will gather to remember her with love, stories, food and gratitude for the time we spent with her. All who knew her and loved her are welcome.
