Shane was born in Bremerton, Washington. into an Army family and spent years on various Army bases in Germany, Japan and the United States.
Shane is survived by his wife and partner of 31 years, Denice Hogan, his sons Austin M. Hogan McCool and Mason Aikawa McCool. His father Kiyoshi Aikawa McCool and mother Katherine McCool of Selah, WA, his brother Robert McCool of Alhambra, IL, many nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends including those in the Niesi community and bowlers in the Denver area.
Shane was always an athlete, playing softball, soccer, fishing and bowling well into his adult life. Shane excelled in bowling, winning many tournaments, bowled an 800 series and achieved entry into the 300 club, setting a high standard for his sons.
Shane was employed by Northeast Seafood and Seattle Fish Co., until his health would no longer allow him to work. He was a delivery driver and a fish cutter for over 25 years. Shane enjoyed the personal interactions he had with the customers on his route.
Shane and his warm smile will be sorely missed!
Open House Celebration of Life to be scheduled in the future.
