Salvador Hernandez Jr., lovingly known as “Sal” and affectionately called our “Panda,” passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 38.
Born on November 16, 1987, Sal was the beloved son of Salvador Hernandez Sr. and Stella Baca. He was a cherished brother to Maya Baca, Christopher Baca Jr., Shantell Hernandez, and Saleen Hernandez. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Carissa Hernandez, who was the light of his life. Sal also leaves behind one niece, many nephews, cousins, and godchildren who adored him deeply.
Sal built a career working in sales across multiple fields, where his natural charisma, humor, and gift for connecting with people made him successful and respected. His kindness, strength, and infectious personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Sal had a passion for life. He loved music, dancing, singing, and playing the guitar. He found joy in cooking, eating good food, cracking jokes, and making others laugh. He enjoyed boxing, watching sports, spending quality time with family and friends, and being near the beach or water. Wherever Sal was, there was energy, laughter, and love.
Those who knew Sal will remember his big heart, his sense of humor, and the strength he carried through life. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and understood. He will forever be remembered for the light he brought into every room.
