Sallie Ann Feavel

Sallie Ann Feavel passed away peacefully on September 9, 2022 at the age of 94. Sallie was born on August 1, 1928 to David and Erma Estlund in Wabeno, Wisconsin. Sallie met the love of her life , Robert (Bob) Feavel while roller skating in 1947 and were married on April 24, 1948. Bob and Sallie lived in Appleton, Wisconsin for a few years welcoming their first two boys, Randy and David. In 1955, opportunity knocked and they moved to the wild west and settled in Arvada, Colorado welcoming two more boys Scott and Jay over the next several years.  Sallie was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who relished in creating and cultivating a solid wholesome family and family centered atmosphere that stands to this day. When her youngest child, Jay started school, she decided to expand her horizons and influence by becoming a teacher assistant with special needs students and working as an assistant at the Arvada Arts Center developing many friendships throughout her life. Though she married young, she emphasized family and education. She too eventually got her associates degree.

Sallie was an avid reader, especially murder mysteries and science fiction. She also loved fixing up her home both inside and out. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardens and relaxing in midst of them with her beloved dogs.

When she and Bob retired, they traveled to many places. To be near children and grandchildren, whom Sallie adored, they split their time between Arvada and Midland, Texas for many years.

Sallie is survived by her husband of 74 years, Robert, her 4 children, Randy (Cindy), David (Michelle), Scott (Angel), and Jay (Valery), 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She loved them all and touched their lives deeply.

She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.  For a life wonderfully lived, there will be a "celebration of life" for Sallie on October 15th at 3 pm at Swiss Cottage at 9890 W 44th Ave, Wheatridge, CO, 80033.
