Ricky Nordlund Obituary
It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ricky Lee Nordlund, aged 80, on February 11, 2025.
Ricky was born in Arnold, Nebraska on January 2, 1945, to Rueben Axle and Neola Mae Nordlund. His siblings are Miles Nordlund, Kendra Shank (Mike) and Paul Nordlund. Ricky was always hard working. As a teenager he had a large paper route in his South Denver neighborhood that included the DU Campus. He worked for Samsonite Luggage and then worked for Coors Brewery for 40 years. While working at Samsonite Luggage he met Pamela, and they were married on April 1, 1967.
Their children are Jackie Lee Whitehair (Paul) and Ricky Dean Nordlund (Dawn) and grandparents of Tyler Paul Whitehair (Samantha), Jeffrey Dean Whitehair (Breahna) Leah Mai Nordlund and Ricky Joseph Nordlund. Great-grandchildren are Jack Hudson, Ruby Rae, Emmett Nash and Arlo Baker. Also, a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
Ricky was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on November 11, 1972, and served as an elder in the Christian Congregation.
