Renae Elliott Obituary

Every day, we lovingly remember the life and memory of Renae Rebecca Maria Elliott. Renae’s presence has always been a bright beacon of light and compassion, illuminating the souls of her family, friends, and loved ones for decades. Her high energy and feisty attitude made her truly unique and memorable to so many people.

At 50 years old, Renae Rebecca Maria Elliott peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, at 11:27 pm, surrounded by such an abundant amount of love from the ones she cherished the most. Unfortunately, due to the suddenness of a Cerebral Hemorrhage on Mother's Day, Renae was given a low chance of survival. Knowing this, her family and friends gathered for the next few days at the hospital, saying their goodbyes and sending her off with their love. Family and friends were gathered for an Honor Walk. For the loved ones who weren't at the hospital just before her passing, as her walk was taking place, loved ones were thoughtfully informed to begin sending love and prayers to God and Renae on the early afternoon of the 14th. Renae’s family respected her decision to be an organ donor. Fortunately, with the strength and love of her family in making this hard decision, Renae has been able to continue giving life as she knew best, and, as we know, will bless and save a total of 3 lucky recipients with her gifts. Her family hopes to eventually contact the ones she's been able to help and explain how much of a real lifesaver she really was, every day and even in death. Renae was memorialized with an Honor Walk to thank her and extend the love and gratitude it takes to be a donor. No matter what, Renae will continue to live on and do amazing things for many families, even in difficult times.

Renae was born on December 13th 1975, in Denver and raised in Rocky Ford. As she grew older, she moved back to Denver and began attending Horseman Middle School. As a young preteen, she loved to hang out with her older sisters and cousins. She then attended Denver West High School for 4 years. Renae would continue to bring 4 beautiful children into this world. Eventually gaining 2 bonus children in 2005 and 2007. Granted, she had her children, but Renae was known most for being a full-time Mama and Nana and just a solid family member, a motherly figure anyone could go to and immediately be uplifted by. She and her husband moved into their home in 2011, and she truly made it her own, decorating, adding new elements, and always keeping it up to date with the latest trends of what home is supposed to look and feel like.

Renae’s parents were Helen Elliot, Donald Elliot, and Fred Garcia. Renae’s husband of 18 years, Jaime Chavez. Her Sisters and brothers-in-law, Camila Martinez, Mike Martinez, Sonya Padilla, and Anthony Padilla. Brothers are Angelo Garcia, Joey Garcia, and David Williams. Her 6 children ( 4 sons, 2 daughters) and 4 children-in-law include Matthew Donovan Navarrate - Mariah Danielle Jacobo, Denae Shanice Garcia (Deceased), Gilbert Gonzales - Angela Gonzales, Angel Oscar Navarrete - Ashley Michelle Sananikone, Nicholas Marcos Espinoza - Olivia Marie Greenemier, and Sielo Jaime Chavez Salcedo. Most of all, she never fell short of receiving an insane amount of love from her huge army of grandkids, whom she held very close to her heart.

One of the most important and beautiful things about Renae was her full-time role as a wonderful Mama and Nana. She always experienced complete joy and happiness when surrounded by all her children and grandchildren during holidays, birthday parties, and even just being at home together. She always loved to dance; she longed to perform living-room talent shows for her mom and dad when she was younger. Always getting her groove on when the music starts. She was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, but never watched because she was convinced she caused them to lose whenever she did. Renae was really an amazing cook; she could whip up just about anything with nothing and still feed a whole platoon's worth of kids before 5 PM. Kids are always begging for her signature fruit salad. Truly a fashionista, always staying hip and up with all the trendy clothes, absolutely never leaving the house without hair and makeup done. If you knew one thing about Renae, no matter what, she was always late, never on time, never answering her phone, and never responding. Never with ill intent, really simply because she moved on her own time, no matter what. Enjoyed being outside, soaking up the sun, and gardening in her back and front yard. Renae would sit down in the living room and pop on a movie, but it was a really good day when her favorite Ghost shows were on TV or a classic horror was on AMC or HBO. No matter the time or day, Renae made sure everyone was always taken care of. Making everyone feel comfortable and, no matter what, leaving the house with a full belly. If you stay long enough, you might get a little sweet treat after if you act right and finish all the food off that plate.

Family, friends, and loved ones of Renae’s life are invited to a viewing, service, and reception at the Church of the Nazarene, 3501 W. 104th Ave. Westminster, CO 80031 on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026. Viewing and Service will be held for an hour at 9:30 am, and Reception will be held at 11 am. Everything will be in the same building.
