Rachel Ninajo Penwitt

Rachel was born March 14, 1962 in Boulder, Colorado. She was raised in Pinecliffe, Colorado where her father built a home for her and her family to live. Rachel was the youngest of 6 and grew up running through the mountains, ice skating, riding in dune buggies her brothers built, and playing volleyball in her free time. 

Rachel met her first husband, Roy Fritts while attending Nederland High School where she was a graduate. Rachel cared for her husband after falling from a 50ft. scaffold and being flown to a nearby hospital. They went camping, bought their first home and gave birth to Olivia Louann and Chelsea Leigh Fritts.

When Rachel’s mother and father, Irene and Chuck Landers struggled to continue living in the mountains in their elderly age, they uprooted to Boulder, Colorado. Where Rachel had a 30+ year career as a bookkeeper for Boulder Army Store. 

Shortly after Roy and Rachel got a divorce, she met Scott Penwitt the father of her 3rd beautiful child Phoenix Alexandria. There marriage thrived on camping trips, bronco parties, and enjoying each other company with friends. 

She re-kindled her relationship with her childhood friend Scott Cline who quickly became her best friend and spouse for the remainder of her life. They enjoyed weekend road trips through out the United States, riding motorcycles, gambling, and socializing with friends. Rachel and Scott thoroughly enjoyed cuddling up to their 2 yorkies dexter and dixie while watching the Denver Broncos each Sunday.

Rachels greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three girls, and grand mother to Mack Dean Stites.

Celebration of Life 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 4th at Peace Lutheran Church 5675 Field Street Arvada, CO 80002. Reception to follow services.
