**In Loving Memory of My Dear Wife, Phuong Tue Vuong Chu (or Zhou Fang Hui)**
My beloved wife Zhou Fang Hui (or Phuong Tue Vuong Chu), at the end of 2022, was diagnosed with cancer (late stage). After a two-year struggle with the disease, she passed away peacefully in her sleep on the afternoon of September 2, 2024, at the age of 88.
My wife had a gentle and kind nature, was sincere, patient, and well-liked by many. She had a studious and persevering spirit. After graduating from Guangxi Normal University in 1961, she taught Chinese students in Vietnam until 1978, and then continued her teaching career in mainland China until 1988. Her dedication to education spanned more than 20 years.
Over the course of more than 60 years, my wife and I weathered many storms together. 2022 marked our diamond wedding anniversary. We supported each other through the Vietnam War and the hardship of anti-Chinese discrimination, and we also experienced the care and support of our homeland. We hold deep gratitude toward our country.
My wife blessed our family with three intelligent and lovely children. They all graduated from university, found good jobs, and built happy and fulfilling families of their own. In the 10 years since we retired, our eldest daughter has invited us to accompany her in world travel almost every year, free of charge, while our eldest son invited us to live with his family, creating a comfortable living environment for us. Every month, our youngest son sends us a living allowance. I am deeply grateful to my wife and to our smart, capable, and filial children.
In the quiet of the night, countless memories flood my mind, recalling the times spent with my wife... Now, these memories are eternal. May my wife find peace in heaven.
During my wife’s illness, many relatives and friends from both within and outside the US traveled long distances to visit and offered their prayers and support. We are eternally grateful.
Forever and deeply loving you,
Your husband, Wang Ru
