Paul Hilton Alexander, a cherished family man, respected community member, and veteran, passed away after a short illness on December 26, 2025, at the age of 96, in Lafayette, Colorado. Born on July 19, 1929, in Ft. Collins, Colorado to Aurthur Paul Alexander and Mary (Hilton) Alexander, Paul's life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and kindness to everyone around him.
After earning his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Colorado State University (Colorado A&M College). Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His professional life was marked by a successful career in banking and sales.
Paul was a humble Christian man, living his faith through his actions and the love he showed to his family and friends. He was known for his generous spirit, gentle demeanor, and his unique sense of humor that could light up any room.
Family was the cornerstone of Paul's life. He married his wife Jean Marie Carlson in June of 1957. For fun, they enjoyed square dancing, traveling to Arizona, and playing golf together. They enjoyed a loving marriage of 52 years before Jean passed away in October of 2009.
Paul is survived by his loving children, Paul D. Alexander, Stacey L. McClane, (Wayne), Jeffrey S. Alexander, (Robin), his grandchildren, Paul D. Alexander II, (Nicole), Nicole Fireman, (Lucas), Matthew McClane, Laura DeNuzzi, (Chase), Ben Alexander, and his great-grandchildren Maverick Alexander, and Atleigh Alexander, all of whom he adored and took great pride in. His grandson, Martin McClane preceded him in death, passing away in 2005.
Paul’s interests and hobbies reflected the richness of his character. As a young father, he coached Little League Baseball and later, enjoyed watching all of his grandkids participate in their various sports and activities. An avid golfer, he achieved the remarkable feat of shooting his age—a rare accomplishment—when he scored a 78 at 80 years old. Adding to his list of golfing accolades was the unforgettable moment he made a hole-in-one, a memory cherished by his family and friends.
Paul Hilton Alexander lived a full and vibrant life, touching the lives of many with his humor, generosity, and gentle soul. His legacy will live on in the stories shared by those who knew him, and in the hearts of his family, who were his greatest joy. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
