Patrick Mark Machak, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in Chetek, Wisconsin, at the age of 67. Born on March 4, 1958, in Waukegan, Illinois.
Patrick grew up in Waukegan, where he formed the foundation of his strong character and work ethic. He was a skilled HVAC technician, a profession that allowed him to demonstrate his handy and spirited nature. His dedication to his craft was evident in the meticulous care he took with every project, earning him the respect and trust of those he worked with.
Throughout his life, Patrick was an active member of the local sheet metal union, always willing to lend a helping hand or share his expertise.
A man of many interests, Patrick found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid golfer, relishing the tranquility of the greens and the camaraderie of fellow golfers. Hunting was another passion, providing him with moments appreciation for nature. All types of sports, car racing thrilled him, and he could often be found at the track, immersed in the excitement of the race and the roar of the engines.
Patrick's legacy is lovingly carried on by his sons, Patrick B. Machak (Bailey) and Michael J. Machak (Katie), who will forever cherish the lessons and memories they shared. His granddaughters, Alice, Yona, Catori Machak, and grandson Jayden Machak, will remember their grandfather as a beacon of strength and joy in their lives. Patrick's brother, Mark (Katie) Machak, and their children will hold dear the bond they shared. Many more family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Bernie Machak and Mary Ann Rose Sedar, his stepmother Patricia Machak, his son Cameron Mitchell Machak, his brother Michael Machak, and his stepsister Michelle Miscichowski. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and their memories remained a guiding light throughout his life.
Patrick's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit lives on in the countless stories, laughter, and moments of kindness that defined his life. He was a man who could fix almost anything.
