Martin Stannard Gray

Martin Stannard Gray, aged 43, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family and his cherished cat, Ascot.

Martin was born in Seattle, Washington, on June 20, 1981, and lived in Seattle until September 2024 when he moved to Colorado to be closer to his uncle and aunt.  A gifted cartoon artist, Martin brought joy and shared his imagination with many through his creative artwork and drawings. He earned his associate degree in Computer Animation from Bellevue College, laying the foundation for his artistic endeavors.  Martin was employed by Safeway for many years before falling ill. Outside of his art, Martin found happiness in the quiet rhythm of fishing, the friendly competition of bowling, and computer gaming.

Martin is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rachel H.F. Gray, and cherished grandmother, Ida M. Gray. He is survived by his devoted uncle and aunt, two cousins, and many other extended family members in New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Martin will be deeply missed by his family and the animation community he so deeply loved
