Joseph William Christenson, a man of warmth and humor, passed away on March 17, 2025, in Arvada, Colorado, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on July 24, 1971, in New York Mills, Minnesota, Joseph's journey through life was marked by his devotion to his family, his passion for the great outdoors, and his skilled hands that could fix almost anything.
After graduating from Golden High School in Colorado in 1989, Joseph pursued his fascination with aircraft by earning an aviation mechanics certification from Westwoods Aviation College. This accomplishment allowed him to weave his love for airplanes into his professional life, bringing him immense satisfaction and pride.
Joseph's heart was always fullest when he was surrounded by his adored family. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie, who stood by him as a beacon of support and love. His father, Butch, will remember Joseph as the son who inherited his resilience and strength. Joseph's children, Caleb and Jennifer, alongside his step-sons, Josh and Drake, will carry forward the lessons of kindness and laughter he imparted upon them. His departure will be deeply felt by many more family members and friends whose lives he touched with his generous spirit. Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, brother, and many other loved ones, who have now welcomed him into eternal peace.
An avid outdoorsman, Joseph found solace and joy in the simplicity of nature. His love for fishing, hunting, camping, and 4-wheeling was only matched by his enthusiasm for sports. Whether he was watching a game or playing one, his competitive spirit and sportsmanship were evident to all who knew him. His laughter and stories around the campfire will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Joseph's personality was a tapestry woven with threads of love and humor. He was the kind of man who could light up a room with his funny anecdotes and quick wit. His hands were rarely still, always tinkering, fixing, or building, making him the handyman every family dreams of. His ability to solve problems with a smile was a trait that endeared him to many.
To say that Joseph was a loving husband, father, and friend would be an understatement. His love was an active, giving force that he shared unreservedly with those around him. He nurtured his family with a steadfast presence, and his guidance was both gentle and wise. Joseph's legacy is one of laughter, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
As we bid farewell to Joseph William Christenson, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. His memory will continue to inspire us to embrace each day with joy, to cherish our time with family, and to face life's challenges with a smile. Though he has taken his final flight from this earthly realm, his spirit will forever soar in the hearts of those who loved him.
Joseph's life will be commemorated in a private ceremony, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and tears, honoring a man who was truly one of a kind. His departure from this world leaves a void that can never be filled, but the love and memories he created will be treasured forever. Rest in peace, Joseph, until we meet again.
