Joan Winkel Fryback

Joan Winkel Fryback, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Golden, Colorado. Born in the mountains of  Colorado, Joan's life was a testament to her enduring spirit and her love for the world around her. Joan's academic pursuits led her to earn a degree in Geology, a field that perfectly aligned with her passion for the mountains and the great outdoors. Her intellectual curiosity and zest for learning never waned, and she approached life with a sense of adventure that was contagious to all who knew her. Throughout her life, Joan found solace and joy in the beauty of the mountains, the melodies of music, and the company of people from all walks of life. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, and her relationship with Jesus provided her with strength and comfort through the years.  She is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who will remember her for her boundless enthusiasm and the wisdom she imparted. Joan's legacy is one of love, exploration, and an unwavering commitment to embracing every moment with grace and gratitude. As we bid farewell to Joan, we celebrate a life well-lived and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those she encountered. Her memory will continue to inspire us as we reflect on a life that beautifully encapsulated the essence of discovery and the joy of existence. Joan Winkel Fryback will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will endure in the cherished memories we hold.

Celebration of Life 11:00 AM, Friday, May 23, 2025 at Victory Baptist Church 1305 S. Dale Ct. Denver, CO 80219.  Interment to follow service 2:00 PM, Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
