Jeff D. Bill Scott

Funeral services for long time Aztec resident Jeff "Bill" Scott will be held at 1:30, Saturday March 15th, at the First Baptist Church in Aztec. A funeral reception will be held at the Church directly following the service.

Bill was born March 13th, 1952 in Clovis New Mexico. The Son of Jeff Davis and Floy Rochell Valentine Scott. He passed away on Sunday February 16th, 2025 at the age of 72.

On June 30th 1973 Jeff "BILL" married Ava Glennell Rhodes at the First Baptist Church. They shared 50 years of marriage. 

Bill was employed by BHP as a coal Mine Mechanic, He was also a Local Union Business Manager for International Operating Engineers #953 ending up with MSHA as the Office Supervisor before retiring in 2020. 

In his free time Bill enjoyed having his Family close, he was a fierce prayer Warrior, arguing politics, Farm work, cooking many great meals for friends, and Family. In his younger years Bill enjoyed coaching his Kids through sports, hunting, fishing and outdoor life.

Surviving Jeff "BILL" are his beloved wife Ava Glennell Scott of Aztec New Mexico, his children, John Scott (JG), of Alliance Nebraska ,Will Scott (WT) of Aztec New Mexico, David Scott(DJ) and wife Jessica of San Antonio Texas, Loren Scott(LT) of Loveland Colorado, and Bill Scott(BH) and Wife Jessica of Farmington New Mexico; 16 Grandchildren. John Michael Scott, James Scott, Joseph Scott, and Joshua Scott, Izack Perez, Sebastian Scott, and Serenity Scott. Jazmine Torres and Fiancé Bear Schacht, Sarah Schrock, Abigail Scott and Fiance Louie Pena, and Daniel Scott. Ava Scott, Alice Scott, Briley Trout, Kyler Scott, and Trinity Scott; and his Siblings, Judy Van Winkle and husband Bill of Lubbock Texas, Sue Finch and Husband John of Bloomfield New Mexico, James Scott and wife Amanda of Albuquerque New Mexico.

Jeff (Bill) was preceded in death by his Parents, Jeff Davis and Floy Rochell Valentine Scott; and his siblings Jeoffrey Lynn Scott, John Michael Scott, Patricia Scott, Jerrilyn Scott, Shirley Scott, Nancy Anita Scott, and Richard Scott.

Services will be provided by First Baptist Church in Aztec. 700 Navajo Ave. Aztec , New Mexico 87410. (505) 334-6833.
