On Thursday Dec. 12th 2024 Gloria left her tired body which has been causing her much suffering and pain this past year, to finally bathe in the Glorious and Magnificent Beauty. We feel Her Wonderment of the Place we all come from and will return to. Her Great Joy in being reunited with All Her Loved Ones on the other side. We sense her sigh of Great Relief as she is acclimating to her Re-Newed Self and being Birthed into her Absolute Freedom and ability to Breath Deeply again. We sense her sheer JOY as she is being saturated in the Love that is So Grand she is Being Lifted to The Highest and Dancing again in the Purest Light of All Creation.
It is Auspicious that she went on 12-12-'24, such balance and Dec. 12th is her former husband Clarence’s birthday, with whom she had remained friends for many years. This date is also a Very Sacred day Celebrated in Mexico as Our Lady of Guadalupe or in Aztec Tonantzin, the day Celebrating The Sacred Mother. We Celebrate her Life now.
Gloria was born in the San Luis Valley Colorado and with her parents Eudoro Sisneros and Emilia Romero- Sisneros, both deceased, moved to Denver when she was about 7 years old. She lived the rest of her life in Denver surrounded by many loving friends and relatives. After graduating from West High School 1959, she dated then married Clarence “Chuck” Martinez at the age of 23 in 1963 till 1985. She worked as a real estate agent till the age 81.
Gloria is a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Cousin, and Friend to so many. She is survived by her children, son Gregory “Wolf” Martinez 60, his husband Michael Ouellette 58 both of Santa Fe NM, her son James Martinez 58 of Denver, and daughter Deanne Martinez 55 and her partner Mark Beisiegel 60 both of Denver. In 2020 she shockingly discovered a Granddaughter Alexandra Lovett now 37, of Klamath Falls Oregon whom was a long time dream come true. She said Alexandra made her life feel complete. She also is survived by her long time partner Ann Wallace of Denver. She has many cousins in Denver, New Mexico, Arizona, and other states mostly in the western United States. She was the Matriarch of her Family.
Gloria loved to travel, and visited Mexico most often. She also visited Europe, and several States within the U.S. She also had a passion for photography, and she especially loved to dance and any excuse to celebrate with family and friends. She Loved Latin and R&B music the most. But probably her biggest passion was spending time in the mountains fishing, and camping. She was raised Catholic but she also had an interest in Spirituality.
Gloria will be cremated and her son Wolf and daughter Deanne have decided to put her ashes into a “Living Urn”, which will be buried and then will grow in to a tree. The type of tree, and location are yet to be determined. There will be a “Celebration of Life” on Feb. 22nd 2025 for Gloria, from 11am- 3pm at Elks Lodge 2475 W. 26th Ave. Denver CO.
Gloria will always be cherished as such a devoted and committed mother as she cared for and loved her children unconditionally, and always stood by their side through the best and worst of times, unwavering. She committed 34 years caring for her disabled son James whom had Traumatic Brain Injury in 1990. She was a very beautiful woman, inside and out. People loved her Green Chili, BBQ Ribs, Deviled Eggs, and odd shaped Tortillas, LOL. She will also be remembered as a very warm hearted, very fun, compassionate, strong and loving person, with a bit of a stubborn streak. She had a Heart of Gold and is Loved Deeply. Gloria will be missed very much by so many.
