Ed was born in Steamboat Springs, CO on December 15, 1934 and passed away peacefully at his home in Westminster, CO on April 30, 2026.
Ed grew up in Steamboat Springs, CO, was an avid skier and ski jumper, participating as an alternate in the 1956 Winter Olympic Games. After high school, he went on to graduate from Denver University and furthered his education in New York while working at the New York Stock Exchange, going on to work as a stock broker, and later in finance, sales and marketing, and business management.
Ed is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary, and his sons, Chris (wife Tracy) of Steamboat Springs, CO along with their 2 children, Thyme and Calvin, and Matt (wife Rose) of Morrison, CO along with their daughters, Amber Dillon (husband Ryan), & their soon expected son, Theo, and Abby Murphy (husband Brandon) & their infant daughter, Adaleida.
A Memorial Service for Ed will be held at Storyline Church located at 14605 W 64th Avenue in Arvada, CO 80004, on Friday, May 22 at 10:30 AM. Memorial gifts may be given to “Storyline Church One Sound Initiative”.
