Cynthia Vogel Obituary

In Loving Memory of Cynthia Ann Vogel

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Ann Vogel. Born on November 15, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, Cynthia passed away peacefully in her home of 55 years in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, surrounded by her family on October 8, 2024. She was 79 years old. As a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Cynthia  lived a life filled with faith in God, devotion to her family, and a passion for continuous learning. Her relationship with Jesus was at the center of her life, guiding her decisions and giving her strength through every joy and challenge. She found deep comfort in her faith and was an active member of her church community, often sharing her love of Christ with those around her.

Though her primary role was as a nurturing mother and doting grandmother, she also found time to pursue her passions and dreams. In her later years, she earned a master's degree in science, showing the world that it’s never too late to follow your aspirations. She spent many years working in the division of Epidemiology for the Colorado State Department of Health and Environment. Her love for learning inspired her children and grandchildren, instilling in them the values of perseverance and curiosity.

Cynthia was deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, always there with encouragement, laughter, and support. Whether it was attending school or sporting events, family gatherings, or simply lending a compassionate ear, her presence was felt in every milestone and moment. She had a true passion for travel, and one of her greatest joys was exploring new places with her family. She cherished every moment spent together, creating memories that will be forever treasured.

Cynthia was incredibly thoughtful, always remembering details of other’s lives and striving to make everyone feel loved through her acts of kindness. She opened her home and heart to everyone. Her house was often occupied by the friends of her children and several even lived there when they needed a safe and loving home. Her kindness, curiosity, vibrant spirit, and faith in God will be remembered by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, four children, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her cousins, niece, two nephews, and her many friends. According to her wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. However, on her birthday, her ashes will be spread and a dinner will be held in honor at her home. You are welcome to reach out to her family for more details.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Foothills Animal Shelter, an organization she visited often and was close to her heart. Cynthia will be dearly missed, but her spirit and love will continue to guide us.
