Betty Rodriguez Obituary

Betty Rodriguez, a woman whose laughter and love echoed the joy of the gospel she cherished, was called home by her Heavenly Father on February 7, 2026, at the age of 65. Born in Rocky Ford, CO, on April 25, 1960, to Viola Lucero and Antonio Sandoval, Betty’s life was a melody of caring, faith, and humor that resonated in the hearts of all she knew. Her zest for life was as vibrant as the colorful quilts she crafted with love and a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

In Denver, CO, where she passed away, Betty's spirit of generosity and warmth turned her home into a sanctuary of joy and love. Betty's life was a tapestry of love, stitched together with the threads of joy, compassion, and a dash of sass. She spent her years in Commerce City, CO, bringing warmth and giggles to all who were lucky enough to cross her path. Her children, Daniel (and his better half, Maria) Rios, Erica Rodriguez, and Julianna Rodriguez, were her pride and joy, her greatest creations, and she bestowed upon them the same selfless love that she received from her parents. Her grandchildren, Dominick Rios-Sanchez and Danyella Sanchez-Rios, were the apple of her eye, and she loved nothing more than spoiling them rotten. They will forever cherish their grandmother's infectious giggle and the tender moments spent repairing stuffed animals and watching shows together. Betty's surviving siblings, Yolanda, Arnold Gonzalez, Lawrence, Alex (Lisa), and Antonio Sandoval, shared in the boisterous laughter and countless memories that characterized the Sandoval gatherings.

A Catholic by faith, she lived with God's grace,

With a heart full of passion, she found her place.

Selfless and loving, a giver of joy. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence. It was not just a part of her life; it was her way of life. She translated the love of Christ into every stitch she sewed, every note she sang, and every punchline she delivered. Her sense of humor was as much a testament to her faith as her prayers, and she often joked that even the angels would have a hard time keeping up with her wit in heaven.

Sewing and music filled her days with glee,

Movies and shows watched with family.

Gatherings frequent, with laughter and stories.

An avid music lover, Betty found solace and joy in the harmonies that she would often hum while busily sewing a new creation. Her passion for bringing people together was matched only by her penchant for making them laugh. Indeed, Betty's family gatherings were famous for two things: the incredible food and the laughter that could be heard blocks away.

The words 'selfless, passionate, and loving' barely scratch the surface of who Betty was. She poured herself into her interests and the people she loved with an energy that was contagious. Her heart had a special kind of echo - one that would reverberate love and joy long after she had left the room.

Betty's life was a series of moments that brought light to the ordinary, a testament to the belief that joy can be found in every circumstance. Although her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on through the echoes of her laughter, the warmth of her love, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and her faith.

Betty's interests were as eclectic as her playlist, which ranged from oldies to modern pop - depending on whether she was sewing or cooking. Her culinary skills were legendary, and she could whip up a feast that would make Gordon Ramsay weep with joy. She was also an avid consumer of shows and movies, often quoting her favorite lines. Friends and family would describe Betty as loving, witty, and passionate - a trifecta of traits that made her the life of every party. Even in her final days, she was more concerned about making the hospital staff chuckle than about her own comfort. Betty’s life story would not have been complete without a punchline, and perhaps the greatest one is the love and laughter she left behind - a love that never ends and laughter that never dies.

Betty, our matriarch, so passionate and loving,

Is now amongst angels, in heaven above singing.

Her legacy lives on in each act of kindness,

In every sweet note, and in every fondness.

So let's raise our voices, sing a hymn for her soul,

Remember her life, and the hearts she made whole.

For Betty Rodriguez, a woman of worth,

Has left a trail of love, here on this earth.

As we say our goodbyes to Betty Rodriguez, we are reminded that life is a little less colorful without her in it. But one thing is for sure - heaven just got a whole lot more entertaining. Betty, we will miss your infectious laughter, your heartwarming hugs, until we meet again.
